With its mild temperatures and year-round recreation, Osoyoos is one of the most coveted destinations for RVers. If you're planning to be in the area, be sure to add these top attractions to your itinerary.

1) Culture, adventure and family fun

Osoyoos has a desert landscape that lends itself to an assortment of recreational choices. The Nk'Mip Desert Cultural Centre is a good place to start, offering guided hikes, an interpretive centre, exhibits and all kinds of interactive indoor and outdoor visitor programs. Learn about First Nations culture, or even take a rappelling trip or a fishing excursion with one of the local adventure companies that partner with the centre.

2) Desert delights

The Osoyoos Desert Society is a non-profit organization that hosts regular events to educate the public about the local ecosystem. This location is home to some of the highest concentrations of rare and endangered species, so it's one of the few places where visitors can learn about them firsthand.

3) Fine wines

As North America's first winery to be owned by First Nations people, Nk'Mip Cellars Winery and Vineyard is a point of pride for the community. Take a tour and learn about the history and traditions behind the Osoyoos Indian Band, and peruse their beautiful vineyard with the Okanagan scenery in the background.

4) A camper's paradise

Haynes Point Provincial Park is a playground for outdoorsy types. Whether you like fishing, boating, swimming or hiking in the wetlands, you will love setting up your RV at one of this park's pleasant campsites. Some say the water here is the warmest you will find in Canada.

5) Amusement park play time

Situated close to several local campsites, Rattlesnake Canyon is a Western-themed amusement park with affordable prices and tons of activities for all ages. Some of the attractions include minigolf, an ice-cream parlour, bumper boats, a bungee tree,  a 35-foot rock climbing wall and much more.
