There’s a little piece of heaven in southeastern British Columbia. The property is called Madera Ranch RV Resort, and it's located near the western edge of beautiful Lake Koocanusa. Set in Crown land, Madera Ranch is situated at the Canada-U.S. border and consists of 160 large RV sites just a short golf-cart ride from the lake. The spacious lots range in size from 70 by 100 feet to 100 by 100 feet, and there’s lots of unoccupied green space throughout the property.

The large lots and the privacy they allow their occupants is one of the most important attractions of Madera Ranch. The 145-kilometre-long lake, with its golden sand beaches, clean water and many recreational options, is another, and a third attraction is the natural beauty of the area. The Madera property, the surrounding Crown land and the nearby beach are enjoyed by walkers, hikers, photographers, bird and wildlife enthusiasts and dirt bikers.

“There is a great mix of different age groups (at Madera),” said Donna Thurston, a longtime Madera Ranch occupant, “from very young families and children to retirees. This resort offers something for everyone. We have enjoyed being part of the Madera community right from the beginning of the development, and every year since has been no less than wonderful.”
