"With some of the highest tides in the world, this is an incredible place to visit. Walk on the beach when the tide is low but don't get caught around the bend when it comes back in!"

My husband and I were visiting the Nelson/Balfour area for the first time in our 1970-something Boler travel trailer. On arrival at the campsite, we were assigned a lakefront spot and when we parked, we were the only people there; however, as we set up camp, neighbours arrived to the left and to the right of us. Once we had set up camp, we decided to take a drive to Balfour and as we were pulling out of our campsite, I looked back at our trailer and this picture is what I saw. The difference in size between us and our neighbors really tickled our funny bones. We've now graduated to a 28' fifth wheel but we still talk about our little Boler, how much fun we had in it and how simple life was back then.
