Innovative iN∙Command® functionality featured in myGMC mobile app update

ASA Electronics® and GMC are shifting into high gear with our mission to bring smart trailering connectivity to the automotive market. The first all-new 2020 GMC Sierra Heavy Duty trucks have arrived at dealerships. The 2020 models boast major technological advancements including the enhanced ProGrade™ Trailering System for GMC, offering compatibility with select features of iN∙Command® Control Systems. iN∙Command Control Systems bring familiar smart home technology to the campsite, offering remote control of features like slide-outs, climate scheduling, and generator functions as well as monitoring water, fuel, and battery levels. Owners of the 2020 Sierra HD will be able to control and monitor select functions of their RV like turning on their air conditioner or checking tank levels using the myGMC mobile app or through the in-vehicle touchscreen via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

We put virtually everything they need on their phone, and now it can be on their dash, too,” said ASA Electronics vice president of RV sales, Jim Hess. “The connectivity and brand exposure through GMC dramatically increase the value of building RVs with iN∙Command installed.”

The latest update for the myGMC mobile app, now available to eligible users through the Apple App Store and the Google Play store, adds this new feature for next generation 2019 Sierra 1500 as well as 2020 GMC Sierra Heavy Duty trucks. The myGMC mobile app can now communicate with and control select functions of RVs using iN∙Command with Global Connect™.

Select iN∙Command Control Systems are also compatible with the Chevrolet 2020 Silverado HD through the myChevrolet mobile app. The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD and the 2020 GMC Sierra HD are on sale now.
