A visit to Vernon is never dull—there is a multitude of attractions and activities for every preference, and you might find yourself staying longer just so you can enjoy them all.

1) The Allan Brooks Nature Centre

Birdwatchers and other outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate this natural area near downtown Vernon. You can walk the trails, take an interpretive tour and learn about the myriad of native plants and animals you will see along the way.

2) Atlantis Waterslides Park

This family park has everything you need to have a wet and wild summer. Try the River Riot, a popular tubing ride, or play a round of mini-golf, hop on the trampoline or scale the climbing wall. There is also a hot tub, arcade, ice cream parlour, concession—and, for the adventurous—bungee jumping.

3) The Historic O'Keefe Ranch

Just a few kilometres from downtown Vernon, check out this B.C. heritage site for a look at how things were back in the good old days. Plenty of original buildings and artifacts are available for you to explore.

4) Wildcraft Forest Wild Tea Plantation

Discover environmental art and take a tour of a wild tea plantation on the edge of the Okanagan Valley. In addition to offering summer workshops and tours, the plantation offers artisanal wildcrafted teas, arts, crafts and other herb-related merchandise.

5) Vernon Farmers Market

Stop by the Wesbild Centre parking lot every Monday and Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and noon to see one of the Okanagan's oldest farmers markets. You can purchase locally grown produce and other goods, or take in live entertainment.
