Big Valley Jamboree

Published August 2013

This August long weekend, country music lovers from around the world will gather in Camrose, Alberta, for the Big Valley Jamboree. Voted Country Music Event of the Year by the Canadian Country Music Association many times over, this year’s BVJ, with its incredible line-up, featuring some North America’s finest musical talent, is shaping up to be one of the best ever.

Concertgoers will be treated to non-stop entertainment by some of today’s hottest musical acts. Neal McCoy will get things rolling at Thursday night’s Kick-Off party in the Molson Canadian Saloon—and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

For the next three days, plan to be entertained morning ‘till night. Luke Bryan, Alan Jackson, Bobby Wills, Aaron Lines and Rodney Atkins, to name a few, will grace the main stage Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Between acts, be sure to try your luck at the onsite casino, or even bull riding! There are plenty of exhibits showcasing their wares, a songwriter’s workshop and activities for guests of all ages.

Every year, a 400-acre mini-village emerges from the prairies to accommodate this incredible event. In addition to the main stage and concert bowl, you’ll find exhibitor booths, food concessions, bars, saloons, and several camping areas. This is a hugely popular event, so grab your lawn chairs and blankets. Plan to arrive early and stay late!
