Okanagan College RV Owners Seminar

Published June 2012

Having been avid RVers for over 40 years we thought we’d seen almost everything relating to this absolute best lifestyle available. In fact I (Duane), have written and taught many courses on the different topics involved with purchasing, maintaining and driving RVs.

Having a fair amount of knowledge regarding the RV lifestyle, we have been invited to Okanagan College on a couple of occasions as guest instructors. Although we enjoy imparting whatever knowledge we have learned over the years, whenever possible we also enjoy increasing our knowledge through any resources available.

To date one of the best sources we have run across is the RV Owners Lifestyle Seminars that have been offered for the past 14 years at Okanagan College. This program is the brain child of Al Cohoe, who not only taught the RV Technician Apprenticeship course at Okanagan College but also is an avid RVer.

Cohoe developed this program because he saw there was a lack of information for RVers to ensure they had all the necessary information to fully enjoy their units and the lifestyle.

Having been on both sides of the desk—as an instructor and a student—we feel qualified to extol the virtues of this program, and to claim that any RVer who attends will benefit from it for many years. The fact that these are the 15th annual RV Owners Lifestyle Seminars (June 22 to 25, 2012), is a tribute to the dedication of all the instructors over the years that have presented educational, diverse, informative and enjoyable seminars.

It is a quality program not offered anywhere else, with over 40 seminars being taught by well-qualified and knowledgeable instructors over the three-day, four-night event.

If you haven’t registered yet, take the time and sign up for this year's program, you won’t be sorry. In fact, we are willing to bet you will become a repeat attendee as so many have become, returning year after year. The information offered is so diverse it is impossible to absorb it all in the first year.

The program is not only an educational experience but a chance to enjoy the fellowship of fellow RVers, and to enjoy some great entertainment as well as fantastic food.
