See Outlook in a natural light
For RVers, one of the most important local attractions in Outlook would be the Outlook & District Regional Park. This is a central point of interest for outdoor activities of all kinds.
Take in the beauty of the nearby South Saskatchewan River, and bring along a camera to snap some photos of the 800-year-old American elm trees. Birdwatchers are particularly fond of this area, and there are lots of places to take a stroll and observe wildlife all year round. The walking trails meander past Camp Outlook, and even under the SkyTrail - Canada's longest pedestrian bridge.
West of the Outlook swimming pool is a place where you can launch your canoe and explore the river further. You can even go fishing for walleye and jackfish during your visit.
Seek a piece of history
One of the top historical attractions in town is the Outlook & District Heritage Museum. The facility was once the site of an old CPR railroad station, and it was opened to the public as a museum in 1993. The original structure was buit back in 1908, just under a year after the town was settled.
Each room in the museum is designed to look just like a room in the home of an early settler. There are more than 3,000 historical items from Outlook and area, giving visitors an authentic view of the town's background. Browse through intriguing artifacts, and view photos from decades past. The facility even has a hand-crafted clay oven, which is used to bake up the best cinnamon buns in town.
There are a number of events held here throughout the year. The town-wide garage sale takes place in May and the museum itself has a fundraiser garage sale each Saturday during the summer months.
The gazebo at the museum is also used for live musical performances that the public can enjoy.
